Notasium is composed of professionals experienced in teaching music to kids of all ages. Our formal foray into music education was started in 2014 by Preston Clarke and Stephen Norman Scott. Preston, a lifelong musician with a love of teaching, joined forces with Stephen, an expert in website design and marketing with a passion for music and children. Their mission was to create an environment in which children would be inspired to learn music and parents would be inspired to take them there. Aaron Piot joined the team in 2016, first as an instructor and then as the director of music education after graduating from North Carolina Central University with a Masters degree in Jazz Performance. His enthusiasm for enabling both young and old to make music, coupled with his years of studying its educational practices, are evident in the curriculum he’s been instrumental in developing.
